I've had the nike one, inaccurate, over sensitive touch screen
I've had the garmin forerunner 210, very accurate
But stopped working well after a year, it would exit out mid-way through a run and I couldn't start a new run
Ideas please

610 is very nice, I have almost 8000 miles on it, no problems. had to replace the strap once.
Garmin 220. Pretty sweet watch that basically just tells me the shit I need.
did you call garmin customer support and/or update the software in the 210? they are usually pretty helpful
I have the Tom Tom Runner. Super quick signal acquisition and super reliable. Has everything you need.
The Nike+ GPS watch does not have a touch screen, dude.
If hitting it and lapping it was an issue, you can just turn off manual lapping and have it lap however many meters you wanted it to do it.
As for accuracy, it has gotten a lot better. It's at least as good as most watches out there.
I have the FR10 and it's great. Simple, but works really well and is extremely consistent in measuring the same route. Within 10 or so meters over 10km.
I used a Soleus GPS Fit 1.0 and hated it. Total POS. Buttons sucked, and it took 5 minutes to find a signal. It was accurate though.Got a Garmin 220 and absolutely love it. As long as you sync it once a week the acquisition is within seconds....I mean, like 2-5 seconds. Accuracy is good for total distance, but I'll admit that the tracking on the map is wonly sometimes. Once I was swimming instead of running, apparently. When I checked the distance manually via mapmyrun it was only 10 metres out so I don't know if it was the watch or just my location. Either way, it's a great watch.

What's the budget? I've had Garmin on the bike, Suunto and Polar on the wrist. Check out the Polar M400, I like the idea of including daily activity to your total load.
