Trickle down effect. Well known/successfull teachers create a better department, which creates more demand by students to enroll, which creates a harder to be accepted rate,which makes the degree more rare, which makes people say "wow" after a few years when they hear where you got your degree.
Job placement, and alumni network = higher starting salaries= better business schools.
