Ran my debut half marathon today on a hilly course, managed 73:25. Im 17 years old so always seem to do better at the shorter stuff but wanted to give a half ago. Does 73:25 predict a sub 16 5k? All my track sessions are 1500, 3k and 5k based.

Yes, you should be able to get under 16, especially on a fast course. My friend recently ran 73:54 on a hilly course, out by himself, and a few months before that he ran 16 flat on a tough cross country course.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
