The NYPC will be inducted into the National Black Marathoners Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will be part of a Pre NYC Marathon Dinner on November 1st. The dinner will take place at the Schomburg Center.
NYPC was running history’s most unique club. It was started in 1936 by three African Americans Joseph Yancey, Robert Douglas, and William Culbreath in Harlem, New York. The club was integrated accepting all races, nationalities, and athletes of all abilities.
