Flats iv used in order from best. Brooks mach series i think these are the beat. Nike streak series. I tried the flyknits but they didnt go well with me.
The hagio is a really nice shoe, imo.

seconded. Not tried the Saucony the OP mentions but the Hagio is a top shoe, esp. #1 but also #2
Saucony A6 are nice if you're sticking to the roads. Those vent holes are a pain on gravel or trail surfaces, though, and don't have the best traction on grass.
I think the best all-around flats are the Streak LTs. I've worn them for everything from 1500 to cross country to marathons with no major complaints. One issue I've noticed is that they feel a little softer than the XCs did, which means I now only get about 400 miles out of them before the padding under the balls of the feet is shot. But at less than $60 for the "old model" (AKA different colors), they're tough to beat.
