25 yr male v. 30 yr female is a pretty big difference.
25 yr female v 30 yr male is more like "nil".
Yeah, age isn't a big deal when it's an older guy with a younger woman, but older woman with younger guy doesn't happen very often, especially when the age difference is more than 2 years.

Kid--and I say that because I'm in my 50s now--women LOVE attention, and they love to flirt, even if they're not interested. She can tell you that you're not her type or even tell you to go to hell, but inside she's still going to be flattered that you tried. But if you don't take no as an answer her appreciation will turn to annoyance. I wish I had just thrown my fear of embarassment and lack of confidence away when I was younger. You have nothing to lose. Be like a great quarterback: so you threw an interception. Brush it off and come back for another try.

I'm not so sure. Have you ever used a dating site? Many women seem to care a lot about the age of men they date. They often times won't even date men their own age, but instead want them 5-15 years older than them.

Unless a woman is so unbelievably hot that she gets too much attention all the time then she will like getting attention from anyone regardless of age. They might not let you know it, but they like it.
