Was he squirreled away for a few years training, kept away from major races, primarily for the reason of delaying his entry into the biological passport program? There is no question the guy has talent. There is no question the guy would be one of the top of the world, with or without drugs. After all, in a country known for producing top runners, he was winning races against fellow school boys.
So what is his hematocrit level, anyway? What value is now recorded on the biological passport? Why can't the public have access to this information, like we know the athlete's height and weight?
Would the 'business side' of the sport rather not talk about these issues, since World Records are being broken?
