I'm a junior that has a 17:30 5k PR and need a training program for the winter in hopes to run low 10 or sub 10 two mile. The link is to Jim Ryun's plan for preperation for XC or track. It is only 10 weeks so I would double the amount of weeks for each segment because I will have roughly 20 weeks to do this or any other training plans that are suggested? Is this a good idea? Are my goals reasonable?
