Hey everyone,
I was hoping someone could help me. I was about to do a workout on Tuesday when I started feeling pain on the outside of my left foot. I still attempted to do the workout, even though it was hurting during my warmup. Due to a thunderstorm, our coach stopped the workout anyways. We only made it through 4 400s and 2 800s before we had to stop.
After the workout, I was feeling the pain even when I walked. I am in a lot of pain when walking for long periods. I iced last night and went to bed hoping it would be fine in the morning.
When I woke up, I didn't feel anything. However, when I started walking on it, it was hurting bad again. That's the weird thing. I don't feel any pain when I am sitting or laying down. When I press my hand on it, I feel very little pain. But whenever I walk on it, I get excruciating pain in the side of my foot. I did not run today and I don't see how I can possibly run tomorrow if it hurts this much.
I have a race Friday, so if I don't run two straight days before a race, that would obviously not be good. Does anyone have any idea of what this might be?
There is no swelling or bruising on the outside of my foot. The pain is very sharp when I walk, as if something is stabbing the side of my foot. All opinions are appreciated, but please do not be rude. Thanks!
