Over the years, our relationship has been pretty positive with NYRR, and I think they have been very supportive. We're very happy to be where we are.
Sometimes I prefer bigger races, sometimes smaller. The NYC Marathon is the only marathon I ever really had interest in running and I've done it 5 times now, but it is too big and too loud for me to say I cherish every moment of the experience.
I expect Brooklyn at half the size will work pretty well. I don't think that there is a way to do it at 5-10,000 runner and make it work, but I'm open to that as well.
Ironically, the current Brooklyn Marathon is a race I would never do under normal circumstances, though I plan to run the last iteration in Prospect Park. As constructed, it works really well and is really a neat race. We may have to keep it going as the Prospect Park Marathon, just because it is so neat.
