Yeah, 'it's for nerds' is a strong point. Have you been paying attention to the latest news regarding gamergate? PC gaming nerds are way over the edge, & I've picked up hints of this in this thread. PC gamers will forever have a stain on them because of gamergate. Learn to not take your craft so seriously, & stop harassing people who like something different than you. That's a start.
http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/23/living/felicia-day-gamergate/index.htmlI'm not a kid. I'm old. Probably twice your age at least.
I just asked the PC gamer in my household the disadvantages to PC gaming. The reply was - "you can't play it on the couch." Like a poster above said, it's not comfortable & that my brother is huge, & also the reason cited why the person doesn't play it that much. The other reason is starting up games is a hassle compared to the PS3. It loads faster, but it's a hassle. (I didn't inquire their reason for this.)
You say to hook it up to the TV? No. That would involve more $$, cords across the room, adjustments to the tv display settings, adjustments to the computer screen settings etc etc. And how often do you have to make those adjustments? Every time I bet. And that's too much work.
