Hello Everyone-
I have been running now for around 1 year after a 16 year lay off. I have slowly creep up in mileage. In the summer averaged around 36 miles per week, last 7 weeks been averaging around 32 miles per week. Around 5 weeks ago ran a 13.1 time trial at 1:28:12 and felt very comfortable. My average long run is around 8-10 mile a week and have ran 13.1 twice in the last 10 weeks. My PR for 5K this summer is 18:50. I'm 37 years old. In my younger years I ran 15:01 for 5K and 1:10 HM, so had a little bit of talent.
There is a Marathon this weekend and was wondering if it would be a bad idea just to do it for fun???? Maybe like go out at 7:15 pace and see what happens. I know I have not run anything past 13.1, so looking for opinions. Thanks
