Hi,
I am currently a senior in high school and I would love to continue running track and XC in college. I know I am late to the game, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me the minimum times coaches usually require for walk-ons. I understand that every school will be different, but I just want to see if I have a chance
The colleges I am applying to include CU, CSU,CO School of Mines, Vanderbilt (first choice), Cornell, Dartmouth, and Johns Hopkins.
Some other information about me that might help:
1.My coach believes in low milage training (max 30 mpw)
2.I was originally a sprinter, and have only been in XC for 2 seasons
3. All times and PRs were run at a high altitude
PRs:
400- 59.47
800- 2:22.7
5k- 20:07
Thanks!
