Pre Nats had to be a mental setback for the Ducks quest to make the podium on their next trip to Terra Haute. Will they be able to rebound? Where will they place at Nationals?

I dont think that was their A team. Melancon in the open race?, Im sure he'll be moved over for next 3 races, along with Elkaim and Watson who were in Eugene. Sources say workouts for the latter two are exceptional, and their holding them for the next 3 races as well. Watson wouldve won the Salem race had he naught ran off course on the final 1K. Confusing course configuration there and poor bike pacers, he still finished 4th overall though. I think they may suprise and earn a podium spot, but tough to outdo The Buffs.....

Workouts are workouts - when has Elkaim delivered a big XC performance for them? Melancon I agree will help out a lot and will strengthen the team's performance from Pre Nats.
I don't know that I would say it will be a surprise for them to earn a podium spot - most believe that they will be up in the mix, and I think that I am the exception for not believing they will.

Okay, I don't understand how Pre Nats was a setback or would somehow challenge their goal of being a trophy team. Cheserek and Jenkins are clearly the best 1-2 punch in the country and while they certainly can't match Colorado's 3-4-5-6 at this point, they destroyed Syracuse in Boston a couple weeks back and Syracuse just destroyed everyone at Wisconsin. So outside of maybe Oklahoma State, what other team can match them right now? Two incredibly low scorers and a 3-4-5 better than almost every other team. They rank US#2 for me right now.
He barely ran off course. I watched it happen. Ridiculous statement. Nothing about the course was confusing and the pacers did a great job the whole day. It was quite literally the only time, all day, that someone f'ed up.
Elkaim has never showed that he could be an xc all-american. To be excited about a workout from him cracks me up. He's a 13:3x guy. I'm sure he can look good at times.
Okay? Whatever u say, You must be one of the bike pacers?.What a ridiculous author name. Laughable.
Sure they got their arses handed to them by a very strong CO team. I don't think anyone predicted they would be as strong as CO this year.
The podium will be tough, but they can do it. I think their low stick will count for more at nats. I don't know that they'll run 3 frosh in their top seven in November, but this does look like their A team, given other in season results. They have some competition for spots 5-7, but I think Ches, Jenkins, Winn, and Pepiot are a solid 1-4 for them.
Oregon's regional ranking went up w/ Stanford's injury problems. We know that they don't have the depth to challenge Colorado, but it will be an interesting race to see how they measure up against other top schools.
I doubt their ranking will change much. They've beaten the same lineup that Syracuse ran at WI and beside CO, they were the star of the weekend. So the biggest factor in the Duck's chances to podium probably came from Stanford's injury report.
