Hey guys,
Im a sophomore and have a 5k pr of 16:45, mile pr of 4:45 and 800m pr of 2:05. The 5k pr is the only one this year the rest where from freshman outdoor track. I overtrained over the summer to achieve my 5k pr i have now but when my coach realized I overtrained he put me on easy runs and easy workouts for awhile. I have been getting mid 18's running easy runs but I don't even feel tired after the race. I have been pushing myself but can't seem to go any faster. We have 3 big meets left where I need to get a good time to advance to all-states. Any ideas? I tried talking to my coach but im not really sure what to say. Was planning on breaking 16:305k this season but now i have given up hope. Can i get back to where I was over the summer? If so, how? How should I talk to my coach?
