If I break 24 for 8k during cross country, can I consider myself a decent and respectable runner? If so do I have a shot at post collegiate training group?

-24/10
Why -24/10? Why is he a twat? I would say sub 26 is respectable for 8k. You can probably find a group but breaking 24 isn't very easy.
Yeah that's pretty respectable and you could find a training group probably fairly easy but yeah that's a good time.

The OP knows sub 24 is a good time and it's a time that makes him a better than respectable runner. That's why he's a twat. If a guy running that time would get him into a good training group, he's telling lies and only looking for attention.
OP here. Broke 24 and wasn't looking for attention. When saying "respectable runner" not talking amongst the general populis but more or less on the collegiate level. Findin a training group has been anything but easy and not nearly as smooth as a transition as I had hoped for. Any suggestions?
Why are you using a weird distance to try to get into training groups? What are your 1500, 5000, and 10000m times??

Are you seriously saying you have never run an open track meet but have run a sub 24 xc?
It's not gonna be a magic number. Place at nats, something. You should definitely also run open track meets and get some times in.
