possibly, depends on where exactly in the "lower pelvis" you think the fracture is. CT is a much better imaging modality for fractures.
why are you having an MRI of the femoral neck?

I'm having pain in the inner quad. I have a history of pubic stress fractures. However, the pain for the two I've had previously was more in the groin. Ortho ordered an MRI of the femoral neck (negative), but I'm still concerned that the pubis may be fractured since I've read that it can also cause thigh pain. I only have the radiologist report...I meet with my ortho for the follow up next week.

Give it a fn rest. Wasting money on MRIs. Just take a rest from running for a bit.

I've already given it four weeks and I have no problem giving it more. I need to know if it's a stress fracture because that would be number 3, which would mean I need to have other tests to figure out what's going on.

You only took one month off? That's not long enough.

MRI is an excellent modality for imaging stress fractures, what are you smoking?

You're right, it's not nearly long enough for a stress fracture. My point is that my last MRI came back negative for any stress fractures, but it was of the femur. I need to make sure my pelvis isn't fractured again so I can take more time off.
