I noticed this in my twitter feed a while ago but I was busy until now.

NXN has moved from Portland Meadows to the Glendoveer Golf Course. Cain's excited. Me, not so much.
All XC courses get sloppy when they're soaked for a few days, so let's not pretend that was unique to the old course. Plus I seem to remember Nike spending some money last year to make sure the drainage was a lot better. And it's not like the old course was slower than the golf course will be. It was flat. Lots of fun with the bales and whoopdeedoo things.
The main problem I see is, well, what you won't be able to see. At Portland Meadows you could see every bit of the race from an elevated perspective in the warm building (not to mention all the TVs everywhere showing the front of the race). If you were out on the course, you could pretty much stand in one spot and have them run by you eight times on either side.
From a visibility perspective, the Golf Course is going to suck. Tree lines, etc. Don't lend to a great viewing experience (especially compared to PM). There doesn't seem to be any central building, either. So no live race feed unless they set up some tvs outside and no headed building where you can see the race in front of you.
I don't know. I mean, it will probably be maintained a lot better (come on, it's a freaking golf course) but I just don't see why they decided to switch.
