So I bought the pair of shoes I've been running in now more than a year ago.
I put on roughly 500 miles in that time, then bought a new pair.
After another 500 miles, I turned those ones in because they were starting to hurt my feet.
I turned back to the old pair, assuming I'd only wear them for a day or two before I could run out and get another pair. But they felt great, and a few days turned into a week, turned into a month. I've put about 140 miles on them since starting to run on them again, and the only side effect I ran reasonably think of is some mornings my arches are sore.
My question: is this bad for me? What are the possible repercussions of training in an old pair of shoes for too long?
