Flew on a plane from Cleveland to Dallas.
Flew on a plane from Cleveland to Dallas.
Why did they need 77 different people to care for one sick person?
She was not symptomatic during her flight, so there should be no problem there.
It appears to me that Ebola is a lot easier to catch than the government is admitting.

She should of been on the no fly list. Major screwup by the CDC again.
The boyfriend of the first nurse diagnosed has now been admitted with Ebola symptoms.
It was ONE month ago that Obama said no one was going to get on a plane and bring Ebola to the U.S. So sick of this incompetent President. Not to mention, the idiot from the CDC, It is obvious, and should not be particularly surprising, that U.S. hospitals are NOT prepared to deal with this virus yet this administration refused to close our borders to people from Ebola stricken areas.

There is no link. People who are not visibly sick can get on planes if they want. Getting home is more important to some people than the health and welfare of others.
okay, so Obama caused ebola to come to the United States. He flew the plane that brought Duncan here. And he caused the nurses not to use proper protocol. And he also caused the previous Ebola outbreaks in the Bush administration. Take your tinfoil hat off.
Providing she didn't crap, spit, or bleed on them they should be fine.

There's no link because he didn't say that.

Refusing flights from certain areas isn't going to help any.
You'd have to close off nearly every flight from West Africa and flights from Europe. If a US citizen needs to get back to the US, they're going to get back to the US. If they can't take a flight from said country - they'll fly to a different country and take a flight from there. It's not like they saying to themselves: "They're not allowing flights from Liberia? Oh, well - guess I'm just stuck here."
Then check everyone's passport. If they have been in Ebola stricken areas, require them to be quarantined until it is clear they do not have Ebola. If you have been in those areas, no reason a quarantine isn't a reasonable requirement. Duncan would never have flown into the U.S. if that rule had been in place.
Now that it is in the U.S., it will be very difficult to contain. The second nurse flew on a plane with a low grade fever. She should NOT have done so and had to know better. Unfortunately, she refused to follow the guidelines and because of her selfishness has placed others at risk.
Lot's of people have two passports. If you think checking passports would contain the problem, you are mistaken.

Also, the incubation period for the disease is non-trivial. It is very possible that anyone flying to the US with ebola does not have any idea that they have it.

it will do A LOT more than not checking passports and letting any and everyone in even if they clearly are a high risk of having ebola. a little common sense here can go a long way but a lot of people are lacking it.

Maybe, maybe not. She had a temperature of 99.5 degrees before she got on the flight. But since it was below the 100.4 "CDC threshold" she decided to get on the plane anyway. So, in fact, she was just beginning to exhibit symptoms before she even got on the plane. This woman is a complete idiot. She knew she had contact with an Ebola victim, flew to Cleveland for long weekend despite being in the 21 day quarantine period, and boarded a return flight home with an elevated temperature. And she's a friggen nurse !
Either that or she is just EXTREMELY selfish.
