http://www.omroepbrabant.nl/Portal.aspx?type=tvTransmission starts at 0930 CET (0730 GMT) on Sunday October 12 with the gun going for the marathon at 1000 CET (0800 GMT).
The top class men’s elite field this year includes Kenya´s 10km and 15km world record holder Leonard Komon and his compatriot Jonathan Maiyo (personal best of 2:04:56).
They will be among several runners looking to improve upon the course record of 2:05:46, set in 2012 by Kenya’s Dickson Chumba.
The pacemakers for the leading group have been asked to reach halfway in 1:02:30.
There are also two more men in this year’s race who have run under 2:06: Ethiopia’s Tilahun Regassa and Kenya´s 2011 Marathon Eindhoven champion Jafred Kipchumba; the latter ran what was then a course record of 2:05:48 in the Dutch city three years ago.
The weather forecast at 1430 CET on Saturday is for cloudy weather on race day with only an outside possibility of light rain, and some light westerly to north-westerly breezes.
The temperature is expected range from 11 to 14 degrees Celsius between 1000 and 1300 CET on Sunday, so the race organisers are optimistic that the weather will not be an impediment to fast times.
