Friends! I'm here to report that the best cure for me, as of two days ago, has been the CVS Spray; their version of Lotrimin AF.
I will say that I first tried Lotrimin AF for about a week. The label says the active ingredient is: Clotrimazole. It's in a cream form and it helped to subside the initial irritation, but did not clear it up enough for me to feel like I could begin running again.
So, after reading one of the replies above, I figured I must try a spray. When I sent to CVS, I opted to save the extra $5-6 and buy the store brand. It's a 4.6 oz spray can that states the active ingredient is: Miconazole Nitrate.
I have to say, the spray saved the day! The initial application stung quite a bit, but it was worth.
I carry around some gently wipes so I can make sure that area is clean and dry before applying morning/night. I'll be back to running again soon!
