I'm taking up steeplechase, and need to buy some portable hurdles for training. Can anyone recommend a good, height adjustable hurdle that is 'portable' - i.e. light weight and easily transportable?
Thanks,
Niv

The first time I ran steeple I only trained on hurdles because like you we didn't have barriers. The race wasn't so bad, I had to jump off the barrier the last 800 meters and barely kept from getting lapped by a Tanzanian who placed in the World Games in the 10000. I couldn't run for several days because my stomach muscles were so beat up. I ran the steeple because a 4:05 1500, 15:08 5000 and 31:42 10000 wasn't going to cut it. Qualified for D2 nationals as a provisional but never broke 9:00.
Jerry, it's a cute moniker but a mispronunciation of "gerrymander."
The name of the man Gerry (after whom the gerrymander was named) is pronounced the same as "Gary," with a hard "g."
Another little-known fact of limited value, brought to you by LRC.
