The city just laid down a new track in Montrose Harbor by the big hill. Goes around the soccer field they just put in. Saw it driving down LSD the other day and it looks pretty sweet.
That is all.

There's also a brand new track in albany park by the school, right along the river. 8 lanes, and fast. The area isn't great but it's definitely safe.

Trust me, when I first saw it, I thought I was on something. Looks like red mondo and nicely striped, not sure how many lanes. ChiTown hasn't been great on keeping up the tracks they already have.
I'm sure the gangs that inhabit that area on weekend nights will make full use of it too.
This was a big surprise for me when I ran by one day and saw a brand new track just sitting there. Kind of funny that I heard nothing about it otherwise. My fear is that it will get overcrowded once word spreads, but it hasn't looked too bad so far.
Bit more of hike to get to compared with the 5 lap/mile at Clark and Montrose, where plenty of miscreants and clueless peeps seem to show up. Hopefully it stays in good shape..
