"Women don't handle alcohol as well as men."
After my sister way too much alcohol for her birthday she proceeded to puke all in her car about 10 minutes after we left the bar. When we got back to her friend's place and she had some time to recover I said the above statement. To my surprise my sister and her female friend were highly offended by my statement and said I was wrong. I thought it was common knowledge that it takes less alcohol for a woman to get drunk than a man. But they were hell bent on believing that women and men process alcohol equally and that I was a misogynistic pig for thinking otherwise.
So what say you LRC? How offensive was I? Do you think I'm wrong? If so, what scientific evidence do you have that says so?
