Serious question: you outlined after James Kwam-bai and Duncan Tibet's 2:04 Marathon debut that these guys had build a 10 story house (10 years of training with lots of mile) before training hard.
Now someone like Kimetto comes by and runs 2:04, 2:03 and 2:02 within three years.
Does your theory still hold water?

I don't think you are really an "expert runner", looking at the names you write (Ganova instead Canova, Kwam-bai instead Kwambai, Tibet instead Kibet), but may be you are not an expert writer....
Joking apart, you need to understand one think : when we speak about years of training, we don't look at the "official" training only (under some coach, or in an organized camp). Training is evey activity that can change your physiology and your specific ability, and everybody has a part of training depending on the normal activity he has in his life.
If we have two twins, one working as farmer, the other seated behind a desk, and we put them in competition in a race of 1000m (their genes are the same),the first wins with big gap, because HE HAS GENERAL TRAINING which the second doesn't have.
Don't forget one fact : Geoffrey Mutai saw Kimetto running alone, was impressed by his technique and his speed, and went to speak with him, inviting him to join his training camp. SO, KIMETTO WAS IN TRAINING ALREADY, like many kenyan that go systematically to run for years, waiting some opportunity, with the dream to become strong athletes.
There is no kenyan completely sedentary in Rift Valley, everybody has a lot of general training in his life, when still very Young. Also if the school is near (so they don't need to run a lot of kms for going to school and coming back home), kenyan children (boys and girls) have a lot of physical activity for many hours every day, for fun, of for necessity.
We can say that Kimetto built the first 5 floors of his aerobic house BEFORE starting his officially activity as runner, and, since he is not at the top of his "house", he can still improve, if able to maintain the same motivation for the next 3-4 years.

There's more grammatical errors in these paragraphs than should be written by someone joking about poor writing haha. First paragraph should end with "but maybe (instead of may be) you are (instead of are not).
You maybe (or is it may be? haha) correct in that training is EVERY (I suppose evey might work if you're Alan Moore and David Lloyd) activity in your life. But I think we can all agree on one think. Think and THING are 2 very different words haha.
