Had it on good authority that this is true. Explains why he has no race results before a 28:30 in 2011, When he was 18/19.

But that would mean he can't have enough "lifetime miles" to run under 2:03.
He has to be 30 in order to have trained in secret for ten years and amassing that crucial lifetime base.
It is impossible to set a record without doing that. Everyone knows that.
I thought Kenyans always lie to make themselves younger, not older.
I read on the internet that he is 35, although that sounds unlikely.

If it's on the internet, then it must be true.
So how old is he really? Lol
no, you gotta be critical. That's why I am not sure of his age...
He is 30 years old!!! This is THE REASON why the US isn't competive in the marathon. They seek to explain their failures with everything, even age, and forget about good old fashioned training.
Yes, but he's 22 when you convert it to Queen's English.

5/10 for the troll because of responses.
Either way, you are right in saying that there have been age considerations in regard to Kimetto. When he originally started racing in Europe during 2011, he had a passport that said he was either 18 or 20 (can't quite remember) and that his name was Dennis Koech.
https://www.google.com/search?q=%22dennis+koech%22&num=20&safe=off&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=17YpVJDyBIGLyAT834KgAQ&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1600&bih=799That link shows some pictures in which he was named Dennis Koech and has an age about 10 years younger.
After setting a WJR at I think the 25k, someone clarified that it was an erroneous passport misstating his age and name and that he should not have gotten the WJR. There is an article all about it but I can't be assed to search for it now. Just type "Dennis Koech" into google (use the quotations) and you'll find the article.
