What model of Adidas shoe was Kimetto wearing today? Adios? Boston? Boost or not Boost?

Both Kimetto and Mutai were just bouncing off that pavement with the BOOOST! Mutai especially.
Nice brilliant red color! FASSSST!
Whaddaya say, Shawn?
But which model?
Boston with an Adios outsole.
I'm guessing the Bostons. Tried a pair on; too narrow for my wide fore-foot.
Howaboutit Adidas? Is a Wide-XtraWide BOOST in the works?!?

Actually nah, just double checked, they were Adios Boost in an as of yet unreleased colour.

And Adidas, P.S. Please consider putting even more (thicker) of that springy BOOST material up under a wider fore-foot platform. Thanks for your consideration.

Believe it or not, I first felt this sensation in footwear years ago running in Crocs! But the fore-foot material broke down way too soon. However, Sasha is claiming to get bunches of miles out of his Crocs:

""Probably the No. 1 driver for it is that they're $20 a pair," he says. "That makes it very economical. They last 2,000 miles."
I loved the comfort factor, but I found the soft Croc material to break down a lot sooner than this. I considered goofing on some rubber coating material to increase their abrasion resistance, though never got around to it.

This guy claims Geoffrey Mutai was wearing the Adios Boost in 2013 NYCM (with pict):

Adios (Boost) obviously. All Adidas marathon pros have been in that for years.
Boston? LMAO. These guys weigh 110-125 pounds. Why would they want more shoe?

It does look like the Adios Boost. However, the tread is slightly different than the one found here
http://www.adidas.com/us/adizero-adios-boost-2.0-shoes/M29707_580.htmlas can be seen on the pacers in this picture
http://i.imgur.com/Kti04hk.jpgNo black piece on the heel in the shoes the guys were all racing in, and the two panels in the forefoot are solid black instead of different colors like the one on the website.

In your pict of the pacers, there are five black stripes on the sole. Check the five black stripes on the sole of the Boston BOOOOST:

Sciatica Road, why do you keep calling out Shawn? Is it because he is the one that outed all the adidas guys wearing non-Boost product and setting WRs and winning races (Kipsang, etc.)?
Are you now saying Kimetto wore Boost uppers on a non-Boost shoe since they don't like the Boost?

I'm thinking those WR-setting guys bouncing off that pavement today were not only wearing the Boost, but may have been wearing special production models, maybe with a more expensive(?), bouncier BOOOOOOST material?!?
They were defintely adios boost, but there was a small rubber outsole modification for the elite athletes. Probably more continental rubber for better grip.
Kimetto and E. Mutai were wearing adios boost 2. Yes the only modification was two strips of rubber instead of DSP.
G. Mutai was also wearing adios boost in NYC but it was the first version with different upper.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the info, what does DSP stand for?
Also it seemed there was some "black" on the inside of the collar at the back?
gathernomoss
DSP stands for Dual Stencil Process...I know, that means nothing right? Essentially we use a thermo plastic material, pour it in a mold and then glue it to the outsole. It is very grippy and very light. But some athletes just prefer traditional rubber.
Cheers
