What % have PED's had to play in WR marathon races?
PEDs don't work on Africans cause Renato said, it's because they're nice and smile a lot.
It's similar to a race with the wind behind. Only non-Africans benefit from the wind.
If PEDs played a significant role at all, I would expect other nations could be competitive.
Funny people seem to think Renato claimed PEDs can't work on Africans, and would rather chose to believe the even more incredible claim that it only seems to work on Africans.
They only "work" for athletes that can successfully avoid out-of-competition testing.

This is a tremendous achievement. Let the testers and police take care of the drug issues and let us just enjoy the competition until there's news as to other things.
What was the key training change that you see, Renato? I recall something to the effect of very fast long runs of around 2:10 and workouts of something like 4x5k at marathon pace or faster. Is that right?

Wish they would. They just don't seem interested in taking care of the 'drug issues'.
Until they do, it's up to the more knowledgeable sections of the sports fan base to speak up about it.

I sure hope that you aren't including yourself on that list.

You're supposed to be smarter than that.
Nicely said.

The last paragraph...
So much for long slow distance training, eh? I always thought that was B.S.
long slow distance makes long slow runners.
Congrats to the runners today!
Yes:
"Today, everybody runs fast in training for being ready to run fast in competition. Sometimes they are able of unbelievable performances, sometimes they go to burn themselves in training, however this aggressive interpretation is the only way for reaching the top." - See more at:

Right on. "Most" who act like the drugs don't exist/work either have an IQ of 70, are a cheater, dealer, pill pushing coach, or all of the above which based on Canovas constant crap analysis is possible on the IQ front.

US Fanboy Speak for: "US athletes cannot compete. All times under 2:06 must be perma-erased to give slower US runners a chance.
Ummm, better make that 2:07...
On second thought 2:08....
Grrrr, 2:11.....

Funny how people forget that out of season testing basically still doesn't exist for most Africans, especially this group of marathoners, lol.
You PC cowards are just that. PC cowards.
Not entirely true to say that an athlete can't come from farther back in the field. Wasn't Wesley Korir well back in 2012?
Can you forget something that was never known?
