I'm actually a student at Northwestern and unfortunately, football and basketball athletes are not held to the same academic standards. Mind you, this isn't true for most of our other sports (fencing, swimming, girls XC, girls lacrosse, etc.), but that still doesn't change the fact that a huge number of our football and basketball athletes are as dumb as rocks.
It's bad enough that that all athletes are required to enroll in a for-credit course that has the sole purpose of instructing them on how not to fail their other classes. The course exists almost specifically for male athletes on the Football and Basketball teams, but obviously, the administration can't make it so obvious, so the rest of the athletes are forced to sign up as well.
So what was your grade in the class?

We all know you're trolling, but I'd just like to point out that unless the poster you're responding to is female, I doubt the question applies, since Northwestern does not actually have a male cross country team, and no track team for either gender.
On that note, I always did wonder why Northwestern football athletes were the ones who started demanding unionization though. One of the most prominent points that backs the demand is that football and basketball teams make quite a bit of money for the universities. However, Northwestern is relatively small for a DI team, has a huge international population who probably does not care at all about American football, has only one campus store selling apparel, and from what I saw on TV last year, tends to invite a bunch of empty seats to their home games, and even more empty seats to their away games.

I'm aware that this isn't a serious question, but from what I'm aware the class is pass-fail, and cannot actually be failed, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the individual (even those who leave the school mid-quarter are passed).
It's more or less the equivalent of the athlete joke classes that South Carolina has been under fire for.
It happens, dude. How did you miss this?

It was the Worst of the Worst on Sports Center Not Top Ten for, like, six months.
Now, hailing back to another of the best sports series, C'MON, MAN!
The idea that NU only compromises its academic standards for the football and basketball teams is a joke. They do it for all sports, lacrosse especially. Same as all schools.

You mean that a high speed end sweep in which 2 blockers become entangled is the same as a crucial 4th and 1, where 2 offensive linemen block each other out of the play on a draw play?
Ridiculous.
