Sounds like a nasty injury. Best wishes to Drew for a full recovery.

Evidently the former Adams State star and now Abilene Christian assistant coach was severely injured in a diving accident over the weekend. Here's the link to an informational/fundraising page --

Terrible news. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I was at cherry creek resevoir in August and saw someone else with an apparent spinal injury get airlifted off the beach.
One of the smartest runners out there in terms of knowing when to kick.

Impressive highlights of his collegiate career.
Drew was recently injured in an accident at the Cherry Creek reservoir while visiting his wife, Laura. He dove into the water to do a swimming workout, injuring his C4 vertebrae resulting in immediate paralysis. Laura pulled him from the water and her quick action saved Drew's life. He was immediately evacuated and is receiving care at the Aurora Medical Center. Drew has regained slight movement in his arms. His injuries are very serious and his path back to full health will be a tough one.
Those of us who love and know Drew recognize he is a person who can win this battle -- like the many he won on the track. Though we do not know what the future holds, we do know that Drew and Laura are fighters. Please join us in supporting Drew any way you can. Your thoughts, prayers, and financial contributions are greatly appreciated. A link is provided below to contribute directly to Drew as well as receive updates.

"15-time NCAA xc All-American"
Assume the 15 would include indoor/outdoor track seasons as well.

Obviously he just ran nationals for all three divisions every year, including his redshirt season.
Duh.
They've reached their goal of $25,000. Looks like they're going to let it run. For good reason. Their out of pocket expences are probably going to be much more than 25k.

It should probably still be titled that ... is there a way that someone can be a 15-time XC All-America selection?
You can be All-American in more than one event at the same NCAA track championship. like 1500 and 5k.
XC doesn't include track - they are different sports.
Obviously a typo, grammar hall monitors.
