Over the past week I have not been able to run. I had some pain in my right leg (fibula?) after doing a 9 mile run on the 15th. It was pretty minor, but after a few days of workouts/recovery days it got a bit worse. Thinking it was shin splints or something, I ran a race on Saturday and have not run since. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is as I can walk with little to no pain, but going up/down stairs and running hurts a lot more. The pain is located on or near the right fibula and hurts when I turn my foot outward and sometimes outward. I can also press on the bone for about 2 -3 inches and it feels pretty tender. I have been trying other cross training methods such as water jogging and using the elliptical. So far, the water jogging hurts just a little and the elliptical brings basically no pain. So what do you guys think it is?
