Hey there ya'all.. I ran my first marathon today it was around 68 to 70 degrees a little bit muggy for me i'm a 45-55 degree guy personally, also A downpour around mile 10-12 wet shoes, mudpuddles, and a sticky shirt the rest of the way.. I'm thinkin can this get any worse??
I went outta the gates like a bat outta hell and paid dearly in the end. Started cramping up at mile 18, drank the on course energy shit that gave me an upset stomach, and by mile 20, 21 didnt' know if i'd even finish!
I ended up w/ a 3:20,was at the half in 1:30:30ish.. I know terrible splits, but bare w/ me i'm a rookie at this we all make mistakes.
Anyways, my question is if i'm a little more conservative in the first half say 1:33, 1:34ish.. Do i get my sub 3:10 marathon for Boston? Thanks.
P.S. thinkin about a redeemer marathon in a couple wks.. good or bad idea? Please help!
