I'll be playing in a competitive Ultimate Frisbee tournament for the first time in about 8 years this weekend. There are five 2 hour blocks on Saturday for 4 games and a bye. I'm in decent shape but expect to be very sore given the bursts of speed and changes of direction I'll be doing most of the day as opposed to the run/bike/swim workouts I'm used to. Can I ice my legs 15 min. at the beginning of the 2 hour bye and still be ready to start warming up about 90 min. later or would I be better off toughing it out and icing just once at the end of the day?
