I am in fairly good shape, averaging 85 mpw for the last 2 months and will be running a 5k this weekend. I have not done any fast 5k specific workouts but do have a solid base and have done the following longer workouts/races
10 miles with the first 7 @ 5:45, the last 3 @ 5:15
10k road race in 31:35
3 miles 2 min rest, 2 miles 1 min rest, 1 mile (16:00, 10:15, 5:05)
My 5k pr from this spring is 15:05, I also have a 3k pr of 8:33
Do I have a shot at breaking 15?
