So right now I have spent two years in college under my coach's training and have only got worse since high school. And now this past year I done my own training and improved by a minute my first race of the year. Now everybody is finally realizing this and wanting to make a change. Our coach disregards everything we have told him. I even approached him with a list of changes the entire team wanted and he did not do one of them. It is getting to the point where people leave workouts to do their own thing. I was wondering what you guys think would be the best approach to this situation. We don't even have an assistant coach or anything. Our coach is in charge of every decision. We do no base training and all out speed work from the beginning of the year. He does not even believe in tapering. I personally gave up on changing it, but now everybody is finally getting on board. Let me know your thoughts.
