You are going to race Usain Bolt in a race where YOU choose the distance. What it the shortest distance you could choose and win?

easily over 100m. I'm bad at start, so I don't think I can beat him over 60m
Probably none because bolt is too lazy and shiftless to do anything that lasts more than 30 seconds.

What about the dexterity of a lizard?
I could beat him @ 100 miles.
The more accurate question is, "What is the SHORTEST distance at which you could beat Usain Bolt"
And for me....that is 100 miles.
Probably 800 or 1k at worst case scenario
I know I could shut him down in a 5K. Most decent runners probably could (and all Letsrunners could since everyone here can easily hit sub-15).
Anything over a mile. I used to work with a girl who was a 200/400 m Div I sprinter. She went to NCAAs and was looking at running pro before blowing out a quad. She still does workouts and runs an all comers meet now and then. I ran 3 miles with her starting out at 9 min and pushing the pace down to @7. She was ready to puke at the end of the run and was sore the next day. I could probably not get within 10 seconds of her on a flat out 400. Sprinters are made up of very different material than distance runners. Those big heavy quads and glutes really start to tighten up after running for not very long.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.

Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
