I'm looking to invest in a new flat for intervals and tempos so I was wondering what the difference is between the Nike Zoom Streak 5 and the Streak Lt 2, other than the price.

Streak 5 is going to be geared for longer distances. More cushioning and will last longer. The upper has dynamic fly wire so it'll fit to your foot a bit more snug. Ideal for longer workouts, or 10k-Marathon.
Streak LT 2 is going to be a bit faster feeling. Good for quicker workouts. The toe box is made out of the same material on both shoes. Ideal for 1mi-Half Marathon.

perfect response above. though i will say that, for most, the streak lt 2 wont be enough shoe for a 1/2 marathon, prob not a 10 miler either (some can). so the question then becomes what you will mostly be doing in that shoe. if the tempo is long, you could do it in your normal training shoes and use the lt 2 for shorter stuff. but streak 5 is great as well, just a bit beefier.
