"A one-time, $100 membership fee covers a year of exclusive benefits"
Is it a one time membership or an annual membership?
Why don't they sell stuff for dudes? That's racist.

Oh, that's some brilliant work by her. Unfortunately the middle class women with too much time and money on their hands won't notice.
Dudes don't care, and we already know it all anyway. ;-)

I think you mean sexist.

I don't know why you guys think Kara has anything to do with Oiselle's marketing campaigns, other than doing what she's told. No mention of her name there.

I would think the cash flow from these "flock memberships" helps pay her salary. So in the same vein, it's how Kate Grace and Lauren Fleshman make their money as well. Kara's empowerment weekends dovetail nicely into this. I don't doubt she pushes these memberships heavily.
$100 for the privilege of wearing their singlet and free shipping for one year on clothes? That's an expensive singlet. I got my singlet from a local running store for free.
I do get that its suspicious that they start this soon after signing Kara but I would doubt they get enough $$ from this to fund her. I'm sure it goes to the group Lauren F. trains with, small fries or wings.
No one could be this gullible! The Flock? A transformative sisterhood that requires an entry fee??! I have a moon rock for sale. Looks like gravel? OK, I will throw in a couple of race numbers worn in races against "elite" runners. Plus, $10 off your next oil change.
Speaking of Lauren --

Kara needs your money because you love her and want to be her friend.
"I am so excited to finally be able to share some exciting news with everyone. Today it was announced that I will be teaming up with Oiselle! How did this happen? Well, Oiselle is the French word for bird and this is the story of how I ended up in her nest.
So began the adventure of speaking with other shoe companies. It was quite the experience. I had the most incredible experience in Seattle. I could not believe how this company seemed to operate with such honesty and integrity. They put importance on family and empowering other women. My heart was bursting all weekend. This company got me and got what running means to me. This was no marketing scheme. These people were real and living to empower and motivate others.
A couple of days after leaving Seattle, I got a call from Sally. She wants to be my friend. Oiselle loves me.
I would always wonder what would have happened if I had not listened to my heart and taken a chance on a little flock of birds. I would always wonder what could have been. Could I have helped it grow? Could I have reached other women? Could I have helped change the running industry? Could I have inspired others?
I belong with Oiselle. My heart knew it all along and I am so glad that it was speaking loud enough to finally reach my head. With Oiselle I can’t wait to improve the sport, reach my own performance goals, and help women around the world take flight."

Isn't it amazing how the truth usually comes out somewhere in the pitch, usually hidden as a negative claim?
I so want to flock to the flock. Puke
You too can buy into the most annoying sorority in the world. Give your money today to finance Sally's bad business choices and become part of Team Oiselle, even though they don't give a crap about you unless you're part of their 1% cool crowd.
They are good at PR and marketing, though.
What bad choices? Like...which ones? Be specific.
Are they kidding with this? $100 for free shipping, a singlet and a few discounts? $25 of this to pay for the athletes the company sponsors? The sad part is there are women stupid enough to sign up for this. It is similar to what Road Runner Sports does where they charge you a fee to join there "club" and get an extra 5% off shoe purchases and get free shipping and "other special offers". You need to purchase over $500 in product to break even on the Road Runner offer. This stuff is such crap. Oiselle is just doing the same thing at a higher price and with slicker marketing. Sad.

You must be new here.

Yes, to normal people this is viewed as a complete scam but to insecure middle-upper class white girls, this is a way to prove their self-worth. It's all about showing off the expensive clothes and being part of a "team".
