I think I need a new phone.
- Is this the fault of the operating system or because I may have bought a cheap phone or because it's running an out of date OS- (4.0 ice cream sandwich) or because I've had my phone for about a year & a half? It's a Pantech Burst. My phone crashes all the time. It got to the point where it restarted itself at least 2-3 times a day & apps froze or crashed all the time. I tried cleaning methods & other things & eventually did a factory reset to wipe it & start from scratch. This worked for a week or 2 & now it's already doing some restarts & slowing & starting to freeze when I open several apps.
- My wife has the entry level Windows Phone 520. It was actually cheaper than my phone, but it runs very fast & very smooth. She's never had a restart or have apps freeze on her. The 2 main faults I have with it though are there's no built in equalizer or option to get one for sound. I'm pretty sure this is only with the 520 model though because it's the cheapest Nokia Lumia. Also, the app selection is limited, but last night I looked around in the store & it looks like they have knock off versions for pretty much everything I'd need. Are these knock offs decent apps? I know she uses one for instagram & it works just fine.
- My other question is - what music player do Windows phone users use? Can/do you transfer music from itunes over? I mainly use my smartphone for the mp3 purpose because I transfer podcasts over from itunes several times a week. I didn't see a decent itunes sync app available in the windows store.
