Who knew that kipping pullups could destroy a basketball court? So tough and buff, hardwood is not safe from the crossfit beasts.

There were gashes all over the court alright. During and after the competition.

Look what we have here...two of the worst posters in the history of LRC.
Thanks man! That recognition means a lot on here.
Looks like us CrossFit ATHLETES are stronger than the weak basketball court.
Good riddance.
Build a tougher one.
You do know the floor was damaged because the weights hit the floor, right? Like, they were dropped. Probably too heavy for the xfit gashes.
get used to it. wrote:

Yes, because we lift HUGE A$$ weights.
Moron.
You probably use pink dumbbells and don't understand why someone would drop weights. Well guess what SCRAWNY runner, level up and lift big. Then you'll understand.
That's no excuse for dropping them. A strong man controls the weight, he does not let it slip from his pasty limp fingers.

Huge weights, yes.
Heavy? No. The 45lb weight for crossfit is the size of a standard 100lb iron at a gym. Sorry to say, I see some pretty horrid form & a lot of weight dropping by people of your practice. Pumping up on tons of supplements (basically just coffee with watermelon & grape flavoring), then dropping weights from either bad form, no grip strength to support the weight, or just dropping it because you have no knowledge that going from the finish position to the starting position with the weight actually works your negetives.
You're not the only one who lifts, and from your statement, you don't know too much about it either, other than using body movement & cheats to actually lift anything for a split second.
When you learn to do it right, come to the real gym, where the big boys play, not you're _____ box with it's 100-200 a month membership.
That was a terrible post.
lol...huge a$$ weights...oh my.I am far from scrawny. I am 6'2" at 195 lbs with about 10% body fat.still laughing at the huge a$$ weights. killer dude.

lol @ skinny hobbyjoggers trying to make fun of crossfit and then totally getting owned.
It has more to do with their lack of respect for anyone or anything. Now, because of their disregard for other people's property, other venues may think twice about allowing these groups to use their facilities. Plus the athletes that use this particular venue are displaced while the court is repaired, good job guys, way to hose everyone.
I am honestly surprised that they did it on a basketball floor. A floor like that is not equipped to have weights on it.
I know little to nothing about x-fit but if you know that this involves weights and stuff like that, the school should have made sure that there was enough protection or made sure that X-Fit was liable (which I am assume it is and that X-Fit's insurance is paying for this). Even then, you need to make sure that there is enough padded protection. Pretty dumb on both the school and X-Fit for letting this go on without the right protection.
Never thought I'd see my alma mater up here for something like this... total bummer, it's a nice facility.
Crossfit; the so-called sport that is based on doing elite-sprinters weights training, without being able to run a sub 13s 100m and with no dopetests? What a circus with all these typical disfunctional steroid users bodies trying to run.
