Watch out for Iowa they ran great this past weekend. Team average was 24:44 and they can be dangerous come Big Ten. They will finish in the top five at The Big Ten championship meet

Great job Iowa!
Maybe Penn State and Iowa should hang out together and talk about how good of a season they're gonna have until reality sets in.

Congrats.
I can name at least 3 DIII schools who could likely beat Iowa right now.
Year in and year out it seems like Iowa races well in the early season against lackluster competition, then once November rolls around they are nowhere to be found
North Central.... MAYBE. That's one.
It's gonna be closer between 2 and 5 than it is 1 and 2. Wisconsin will run away with it.
Name them. NCC......(crickets)
It's great to see the Iowa boys running better so far this fall. They're got a long ways to go, but it's a start. Kevin Lewis is a scrappy guy that will lead them well up front. Nice to see Gregorio and Soltys coming around after some injury setbacks. It's a transitional period right now in Iowa City, but Wiz must be proud with how his boys are performing thus far even if he is only watching from the sidelines now.
While it was only a 6km run, at the Wisco opener the top 9 Wisconsin guys ran together in 18:22, about the same pace as the average of the top two Iowa guys over 8km.
Much more interest and information will come from the Big Ten Preview race this weekend (Friday morning at 8am?). Even that is very much a preview of the course, not of the teams racing fitness. Is this race late enough to count for team points? If so, and if many of the Big Ten teams come and run top guys, it will be a pretty big race with Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc potentially running here. Of course, it is even more of a big deal on the woman's side with Michigan and Michigan State, as well as Wisconsin and other strong Big Ten teams.
Races start counting for at-large points on September 26th
GO HAWKS!!!

Thanks, I saw that in the Coaches Poll story today. That means that the meets this week do NOT meet that criteria and will likely mean running mixed squads.
Who when how (the race)
my johnny boy is so good
Well, they are clearly well back of Michigan. I would say 1) Wisconsin 2) Indiana 3) Michigan 4) MSU 5) PSU
