Interesting. In your opinion those workouts are overrated, yet you have no idea what workout to do. You're pretty sure your event is a better fitness test than the marathon, but you post as if you've never even done one. You're like a tough mudder who can't do the obstacles, or a crossfitter who can't squat, or a triathlete who can't bike or swim.
If a 10K is the ultimate fitness test then does that make Galen Rupp the 2014 Fittest Man on Earth?
