Same old plan....blowing hundreds of millions of dollars to keep the military industrial complex happy while ISIS splinters into many more dangerous groups. At the same time we continue to support and fund middle east theocracies that drive their people to ISIS. We should drive the price of oil under $30 per barrel by allowing exports and provide weapons to the Kurds.
Obama announced plans for the US to continue pinpoint airstrikes, cruise missiles, and drone attacks on Iraq and Syria, using US military and Sunni Arab ground spotters.
Unfortunately I have a feeling that Obama got bullied by the media, Republicans, and even his own party into dropping a bunch of bombs.
He was saying the right things as of a couple weeks ago. He was basically saying that military engagement isn't much good without a political strategy.
But where is the political strategy now? Are we really buying into a united Iraq and this new Iraqi government that has only been in power a few weeks? How are we not just fighting a Sunni-Shiite war?
