It doesnt mean anything different in the US. Uni Sports were granted the rights through 18. Dentsu only has the rights to IAAF Championships.
Dentsu is representative of Old Japan electronics and media as they buckle under South Korean and Chinese competitors. Young Japan has moved onto frontier areas to develop and cash in on; areas such as biotech, High Energy Physics, genetics, particle physics, quantum computing, neurosciences, etc.
