I worked for a company and took tuition help to help me pay for my masters. The announced they were closing down the location where I worked (the only one within 250 miles) so I took another job. They are now coming after me saying that I didn't fulfill my obligations to the company.
This sounds like bull crap to me, has anyone else dealt with this? If they closed, they initiated the separation. The contract did state that if the employee chose to leave they would repay. However if the employer closes the site down, doesn't it make sense its not the employees trying to quit? Can a company force you to move like that?
