If you want to hug people, go someplace else. This is not your town. New England (minus Cn) not your place.

I don't talk to strangers on the T because you might end up talking to someone from Colorado.
Because it is a big city subway system. NYC/London/Tokyo/DC all are the same way as well.
Probably because everyone is being squeezed by the crappy
economy and overburdened by taxes.
Kind of makes it difficult to stay upbeat.
They're mostly liberals and when liberals let down their over-happy facade and reflect on their meaningless, self-loathing lives where they failed "to save the world" and never met their Disney prince/princess they revert back to the cold, dreary people they truly are.
Mostly liberals? Only about 1/3 of registered voters are Democrats.
