Isn't wearable technology going to be bigger than the latest iPhone? Getting in on the chip supplier seems like a good long term bet...same as Intel was to the PC back in the 90's...

Picking individual stocks (with any serious amount of money with the intention to actually make a lot) is for people who:
1) Have ZERO debt.
2) Own a home outright.
3) Are still putting in 15% minimum into retirement accounts made up of mutual funds if working and if retired then not using more than 15% of your income to buy individual stocks.
IF you meet the criteria, then you buy stocks with these parameters:
1) Never buy FEWER than 5 stocks.
2) Never have more than about 20% in any one sector of the market.
That's it.
I don't currently buy individual stocks, and I might never do it, so I don't have an opinion on that individual company you mentioned. I will tell you that some initial market testing has shown that people aren't really into the wearable technology...but that could change as it becomes hip to wear it (watches, etc.).

bought at 18, a few months ago.
It will probably drop big time, if it turns out it is not the winner here.
No insider info...just some speculation according to some articles I've read...Mötley Fool and David Gardner have talked about it for years and now it seems the iWatch will finally make its debut this fall...with the exponential growth of Apple (even with the stock price fall today of $26 BILLION...that is bigger than Nike total sales...)
I am guessing that between Samsung and Apple, the price would climb for awhile...

Given 2), 1) is redundant.
Indeed, 2) implies "Never buy FEWER than 6 stocks".
