Which city has the nicest airport and why?

One of the terminals in the Philly airport has a bar with about 20 beers on tap.
I personally have not seen better than that.
I fly quite a bit, but I'm also a homer, so I'll vote for Indianapolis. It's relatively new, built after 9/11 so the security stuff isn't so goofy as many older airports that had to be retrofitted. Free wifi that you can actually use (that is -- not terribly slow). Baggage comes through pretty quick. Easy in and out of the airport with Interstate access.
Singapore. Very comfortable
Schipol is good for shopping.
Airports (and flying in general) in the US are like riding the bus. The airports are dog-earred and crowded.
I have traveled a bit in the last 2 years and here are the ones I like for Food and waiting, not as much for flying to and from. I mainly fly Southwest and Frontier
1. San Jose ( Sushi, Great coffee, great bathrooms, very clean, plenty of space)
2. Portland (Gustav's, Great coffee, Massage, very clean, ample space)
3. Denver- (Great coffee, tons of space, massage, very clean, good food)
4. Dallas Love- (great coffee, awesome pizza, very clean, tons of space)
5. Houston hobby (Great coffee, great Mexican food, very clean, plenty of space)
6. Seattle ( good seafood, clean, great coffee)
WORST
1 Boston
2 Phoenix
3 Vegas
4 St louis

I didn't think vegas was so bad.
In any case, Despite the one previous poster's experience, Philly is one of the worst. Even though I'm a Philly native, it's a freaking dungeon (excluding the new portion they built a few years back). Also the SLC airport is really nice.
It's easier to pick the worst ones. I agree with the previous guy that Phoenix sucks. My worst is Miami. That airport is a hellhole unlike no other.

Heathrow sucks, as a rule. However, the newly opened T2 is pretty sweet.
Copenhagen is pretty cool. The whole place has hardwood flooring, which is pretty amazing. The Danish know how to do interior design.
In the US, the list of awful airports is long: for me, Dulles is the worst (just edging Newark). this is determined by the crap layout and amenities coupled with the amount of delays i have at these places.
In the US, I always like SFO - particularly the international terminal. At ORD they have the Frontera sandwich place which makes up for all of its shortcomings.

Really have gotten to like Atlanta especially since it now has free wi fi and also The Varsity!
