Who will the USA beat and by how much to win this
Who will the USA beat and by how much to win this
Have I heard of any of the players on the USA team? Seems like all of the stars were staying home this year.
the dude with the beard (Hardin) is playing as is that guy from Kentucky that was on the Olympic team. Derrick Rose too.
Team USA is very young. No Lebron, no Melo, no Howard, no Durant, no Kobe, no D-Wade, etc. But the selected players are "stars" in their teams (not superstars, with the only exception of D-Rose, who was injured last couple of seasons whatsoever).
And 2 o 3 role players like Miles Plumlee (he was selected because the Duke-Coach "k" connection) Kenneth Faried (who brings high intensity and energy) Klay Thompson (outside shooting)
The rest of the team is loaded of "young stars" like Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, etc.
The weakest spot surely is in the center position. Andre Drummond-Plumlee and Demarcus Cousins aren't better than Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, Chris Bosh etc.
But coach "K" always put a small lineup.
And moreover, a lot of NBA inside players are playing for other teams (Gasol brothers and Ibaka for Spain, Valanciunas for Lithuania, Scola for Argentina, Gobert and Diaw for France, Andray Blatche for Philippines, Gorgui Dieng for Senegal, Haddadi for Iran, Aron Baynes for Australia, Asik for Turkey, etc)
